Beach Roses

I know in my last post I spoke about painting flowers, so here they are--just in a different setting.  Beach roses are so beautiful in the way they crawl and spread over the sand dunes.  This 8 x 10" pastel painting is mounted and ready to frame and is an optimistic look forward to warmer weather. 

Tulips

Another cold, rainy/snowy, day in Connecticut.  But I will not be deterred!  Thinking flowers and Spring!
Here is a watercolor of tulips being highlighted against a fairly dark background to accent the white on the edges of the flowers.  Hope you enjoy this reminder of things to come.

JANUARY SALE - Secret Garden

Secret Garden is a watercolor on Arches paper of my garden in May to early June when the irises and peonies are both in bloom at the same time.  It's a show that only lasts about two weeks, but I love it!
It is 10" high by 13" wide and will mat up beautifully to a 16 x 20".  It's January now, but in a few short months we'll welcome warm weather again..

JANUARY SALE -- The Stone House

"The Stone House" is a watercolor painting of one of the old stone homes/barns from the Bucks County, PA area. Autumn is just starting to color the trees and decorations are out for the Fall.   It is painted on Arches watercolor paper and the image is approx. 11 x 15".

JANUARY SALE - Morning on the Mountain
