Pink Rose and Buds

Pink Rose and Buds is a small framed watercolor done on acid free 140# watercolor paper.  The painting itself is about 4.5 x 5.5" and is framed with a 2" off white mat to about 9.75" x 10.75".  The painting is done in a loose style with transparent watercolors.  The frame is a warm silver and is about 7/8" wide.

Poinsettia

Poinsettia is an original watercolor painting, approximately 4 x 6" in size, matted and framed to 12" x 14 1/4". It is double matted with acid free white and red mats, and framed in a 2" wide warm silver frame with reddish accents. It will not come with the reflection in the glass of me taking the picture!

Fall Festival

This is another loose watercolor--supposed to be quick, but they are not as easy to paint as one might think!  This painting is on 140# watercolor paper and is 6 3/8" wide and 4 3/4" high.  It will be come matted and on acid free foam core, ready for framing.  Hope you enjoy it.  

Lilacs

Another small, loose watercolor.  Done on 140# Strathmore paper.  It's good to try something different once in a while in painting, and this is much looser than my more detailed watercolors.  Feels pretty good to play!

Pink Rose and Buds is a watercolor painting done in a loose, painterly manner.  I often tend to paint very realistically and sometimes it's fun to just go with minimal drawing and try to capture the essence without a lot of detail.  Think I might work on this concept for a while!

Emmett

"EMMETT"  is a pastel painting, approximately 8.5 x 10".  This friendly fellow came to visit up to the edge of the fence that borders our back yard and the farm behind us.  He was quite good about posing and coming up with a pleasant expression.  Seriously, he was a lot of fun to paint and I enjoyed working with the texture of his face and his smooth hide.  This painting just sold to an animal loving buyer at a fund raising art show for the Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue, held in Deep River, Connecticut.  Hope you enjoy this painting.
