Green Apples & Tulips--studio sale

SOLD

January, with it's lull after the Holidays, is always a good time to do a little studio cleaning and reorganizing.  I have a few pieces I will be posting in my "studio sale" to help make room for new pieces.  This watercolor, done from a still life setup in my studio, is 11" wide and 8.75" high and is painted on 140# Arches watercolor paper.  I was really drawn to the shadows on the white vase in my setup and I liked the way the tulips arched down to the apples.  Although color varies from monitor to monitor, on my monitor this appears pretty accurate.  Thanks for looking!

Reflection II

SOLD

Reflection II is a celebration of color at day's end.  Sometimes the skies can be so unbelievably vibrant and saturated,  it takes your breath away.  This is a small watercolor, approximately 8.5 x 8.75" painted on 140# Canson watercolor paper.  Who says watercolors have to be "wishy-washy"!  Enjoy.

French Farmhouse ~ Framed

SOLD

French Farmhouse is a companion to my earlier piece, French Boathouse as it's from the same region in the Loire Valley.  It's a 6" x 6" oil painting on canvas board and is framed in a 1.75" silver flat panel frame, bringing the piece to an overall size of 8.25 x 8.25.  Please allow for slight variation in the coloring--this whole piece is a little warmer both in the painting and the frame.  Thanks for looking!  (Auction link tomorrow)

French Boathouse ~ Framed

SOLD

This is a small oil painting, 6 x 6, of a beautiful area in the town of Azay le Rideau in France.  I have done several other paintings of this area because of its beauty and charm.  It is framed with a silver flat panel moulding, approximately 1 3/4" wide, bringing the total size of the piece to a little over 9" square.  It's ready to hang or stand on a shelf or small table top easel.  Thanks for looking!

Three Pears

DPW Auction link

"Three Pears" is an 8 x 10 oil painting on canvas board.  You see these beautiful pears in the grocery now along with many other varieties, but this is one of my favorites. I thought the golden/orange color was the perfect counterpart to the blue and white bowl.  Hope you enjoy this little piece, it appears these pears are having a serious talk.

Fresh Snow

SOLD

Ok, I know it's too early to mention snow--except of course, for skiers and snowboarders--but I sat down a few days ago to do a small watercolor and this came to mind so I went with it.  The inspiration comes from the many barns in our area, which used to be a large farming community.  Many are gone now, but there are still some lovely ones and this is a tribute to them.  Winter here tends to give us beautiful sunsets so I incorporated that into this painting.  This painting on watercolor board is 9.5" wide by 6.5" high and is matted to 11 x 14".  Hope you enjoy it.
